Commission for :iconted-2012: again! :D
Actually, it was a :points: commission, but as a thank you I colored it!^^
I am so happy to have such a faithful fan! *__*

Yeah, after some Copic pictures a watercolored one! :D
I don't know Belldandy well, only that she's from "Ah! My Goddess!".
But her design is beautiful, so it was fun to draw her!^^

Media: watercolors, watercolor pencils, salt xD

For those who always wonder why I put that fat watermarks on my drawings: I've already seen websites with my pictures... -.-
If they had asked me before...
Luckily, they mentioned my name... but I guess only because of my watermark!

This is one of my favorites by you so far. It is absolutely awesome. So pretty!

If you don't mind me asking, but what manga style is your art inspired from? Those are one of my favorite kinds of eyes.

thx!^^
oh... good question.
when beginning to develope my own style i hat arina tanemura and the old clamp style (magic knight rayearth, x 1999, card captor sakura) as inspiration!^^
with the time i met so many great artists on dA, and my style got influenced too.
so i can't tell exacty but my goal is to have an own and recognizable style! :D

 Hmm, interesting. I guess it's just something you develop after doing so long. And the longer you draw manga, I'm sure it will change again slightly.
Good luck with finding your own unique style! It won't be the easiest thing to accomplish, but you can definitely accomplish that. :D
How long have you been drawing manga? :meow:

:D You're welcome!

Ok, I have one more question... How old were you when you started, and how long did it take you to become good enough to be able to just draw it? Like, without much reference. Honestly... I'm 19 years old. I've been drawing it on and off since 9th grade. So I was like 13ish then. But I haven't really stuck to it for very long. ;p Now I am teaching myself in a more serious manner.

i was around 9 but i start to draw without much references 1 or 2 years ago! xD
in 2008 when joining dA i learned a lot but i still needed references for poses.
now after reading the how to draw manga i mentioned and sketching regularly i'm more confident in drawing!^^

Well, it is true for all artists to use references. For portraits, landscapes, everything. It just wouldn't be accurate without a reference.

For poses, I am learning that I enjoy to do a quick sketch of a pose by a real person, then draw it again "manga-ized" ^^

That's cool. Practice makes perfect! Gotta remember that. :meow:

the more you practice the better you know the human anatomy and you need less references.
